Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, is the world's northernmost capital. Dating back more than 1100 years, and with a population of 180,000, Reykjavik is today a cultural city where cosmopolitan currents meet traditional trends. Situated on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Iceland is a hot spot of volcanic and geothermal activity.

The ACIA International Symposium on Climate Change in the Arctic will be held at Nordica Hotel (Sudurlandsbraut 2) in Reykjavik, 9-12 November 2004.

The official language of the symposium is English, with translation into Russian.

Refreshments - coffee/tea and lunches - will be available during the Symposium and are included in the registration fee.
